That's actually a reference from WCW at the tail end of the nWo storyline. Forgive me while I dazzle you with my memorization skills:

At the end of the nWo black & white vs. the nWo Wolfpac storyline, the big match on Mondy Nitro was "Hollywood" Hogan of the Black and White vs. Kevin Nash of the Black and Red (Wolfpac). All kinds of hype and buildup as the Match of the Millenium (TM). Even had Michael Buffer doing the ring intros. The match starts, Nash and Hogan start talking smack. Shoving starts...

Then it all collapses. Literally. Hogan basically just pokes Nash in the shoulder... and Nash folded like a cheap tablecloth. Hogan, feigning surprise, makes the cover and regains the belt.

In the background, at that time Hogan and Nash basically ruled the backstage area and had tremendous pull over storylines. This was just a naked abuse of that power.

And, IMHO, this was the event... THE event... that began the collapse of WCW. Up until that point, WCW pwned WWF/E. It was still (barely) holding its own against the Attitude era, but the Fingerpoke of Doom was WCW's death knell.
