| Alright so trying to make a vid, finisht the vid, about to save the vid and I get this message:
"Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving loaction is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again."
Okay.... I still have the source files - check The saving area is still available - check I deleted a crap load of stuff just in case and have more then enough disk space - check Try again - too many checks to count
So i moved onto the next thing I could think of... adware and viruses. scanned computer... twice... deleted everything.... back to try again
........ nothing..... I have restarted my computer.... multiple times.... nodda....
I have run out of all options that I know of.
So pretty much what I am asking is does anyone have suggestions or clues as to how I can fix this.

| A couple of problems I can think of right off the top of my head :
1) Source file can be corrupt
2) What's the file format of your source files? If they're an incompatible type such as MPEG-4, DivX, Xvid, MOV, FLV, etc, try converting them to wmv or DV-AVI format first.

| Just located another possibility :
CAUSE This problem may occur when the file size of the movie exceeds the available RAM on your computer. Solution 1: Reduce the Size of the Movie File 2: Reduce the Movie Setting Size 3: Increase the Size of the Paging File 4: Save the Movie in Smaller Sections 5: Perform a clean startup in Windows XP

| i downloaded the vids off of youtube using firefox and used the convert thing with it. So the vids were all .wmv and have tried relocating it to different areas of the computer and even decreasing the size lol. | |

| This should show you how to deal with the paging file : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315270Note : I don't use Windows movie maker, so I can't verify the accuracy of the information... this is just what I'm getting when I google your issue. There could very well just be a problem with the video file itself... | |
