It's easily the original three Star Wars films for me (and before Lucas decided to mess with them!)

But spare a thought for the Die Hard's (1 and 2 are two of the best action films ever made)

I also like the Kevin Smith Films: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Jay & Slent Bob Strike Back (they all do interlink at some point).

Then there's also Chan-wook Park's 'revenge' trilogy and George A. Romero's 'Dead' series.

I could go on, but I won't.

Amazing. I voted for StarTrek. It wasnt even a hard decision. I never knew I would do that.

The first trilogy killed Star Wars for me and most of the world. If it were just 4-6, I'd agree.
In fact, most of the film franchises listed have one, sometimes more than one, movie that just torpedos the entire thing (Spiderman 3, anyone?)

There is one exception: Lord of the Rings. You can't argue of the sheer epic-ness of LotR. There was not one movie that did not need to be made. And with the addition of The Hobbit coming soon, that will wrap it up in a nice bow.

Unless it torpedos this series, too. In which case, I will withdraw my vote.

ah i am sorry jack power but i am going to have disagree with you on that. Spiderman 3 i actually thought was the one movie that kinda killed it. Spiderman was good cuz it had nothing to compare to yet, spiderman 2 was a decent movie, but spiderman 3 was missing too many essentials. The only character i thought that did a good job was sandman, besides that....yeah.

The answer should be pretty obvious, Lord of the RIngs all the way. The whole series is almost flawless. What made it work is it had the same director, the same acotrs and all filmed at the same time. There were no 2-3 year wait to film the next one.

That's where the Harry Potter Series fails, different directors and different actor, a crucial one I might add.

Spiver-Man 3 did kill the series but not really at the same time. SM3 seemed like it was made for the money.

Pirates of the Carribean was a good trilogy, very entertaining.

Star Wars ep. 4-6 was good but I put LOTR above it just because it wasn't a solid 3 movies together. One was better than the other.

The next series that will be great, are Nolan's Batman. Batman Begins was awesome but The Dark Knight was spectacular. Just ignore Batman 3 & 4. Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were all great movies. It was so good and dark that everyone will be basing their future comic book movies from it, including the upcoming rebooter Superman.

Sorry jade, but Shrek 1 was the only good one on that series. The sequels were a bunch of played out jokes that has been used in the first movie.

Now, for the WORST series EVER!!! I disdain this series, I hate it so much that I want to rip off my left arm so I can beat the produce senseless for putting out such films. The series I am talking about is.... the "______" Movie (ie: Scary Movie, Epic Movie, Hero Movie, etc.... whatever *^$*&%#$@&#*. I don;t know who pays to watch these movies but they seem to be making enough profit to come out with a new one every year. It is the cancer of society and literally burns the brain cells of every individuals who comes in contact with it. Ok, enough with the venting.
