R.I.P Mitsuharu Misawa

Japanese wrestling legend and NOAH founder Mitsuharu Misawa has died age 46.

Misawa was wrestling in a Tag team match for the titles with Go Shiozaki against Akitoshi Saito and Bison Smith at the Hiroshima Green Arena. Misawa took what was said to be an ordinary back suplex when his heart gave out, causing him to have a heart attack.

Medics tried to revive him in the ring to no avail, he was then rushed to hospital but announced dead at 10:10 pm JST (9:10am EDT). People are unsure if he died in the ring or later in the hospital. Misawa would have been 47 next Thursday.

This is very, very sad news. I am still shocked, and feel completely disorientated by this news.

A true wrestling legend, and a man I was very fortunate to meet almost a year ago to the day.

Anyone who loves pro wrestling and is unaware of this great man, should check him out and pay your respects to one of the greatest wrestlers to ever lace up the boots.

I saw the news 2 mintues ago I was completley shocked, especially under the circumstances. I knew that instantly JD would of have made a thread like this.
