NBT RP for 05-02

~Suck My Kiss begins to play over the PA system as the Natural Born Thrillers step through the curtain. A huge ovation rains down from the crowd as they pause for a few seconds at the ramp holding their belts up in the air.~

Brandon : Holy cow... listen to the reception the Thrillers are getting from this crowd!

Reggie : Highly deserved, in my opinion. They were half of one of the best matches we have seen in XFE in an awful long time.

Brandon : That successful Tag Team title defense at Super Force against Masters of Mayhem was one of the hardest fought matches I’ve ever seen. Kudos to both teams.

~The Thrillers walk down the ramp, climb the steps and proceed through the ropes into the ring.~

Playboy : Ladies and gentlemen...

JD : But still mostly for the ladies..

Playboy : Your Tag Team champs are here!!

~More applause from the crowd.~

Brandon : Listen to this.... I’d never have thought....

JD : Now I’m sure you’d expect, after a successful title defense at Super Force, that we’d be out here, smug and
cocky....

~JD and Playboy look down to their own waists for a couple of seconds... then back up to the crowd. They both shake their heads and waive their hands in a "no" fashion.~

Playboy : No, that’s not what we meant...

JD (after a moments pause): you’d expect that we’d be out here, smug and cocky claiming how we handily beat Worthy and Jack Power.... how we dominated the match... how Worthy and Jack Power are not on the same level as the Thrillers... how they have no place in this ring with us... how they have no place in the entire XFE...

~A spatter of boos come from the crowd.~

Playboy : Well... that’s not how it’s going down. You see... that match at Super Force was one of the toughest matches we have ever competed in... and definitely one of the toughest challenges to our title reign we have seen since we won these belts.

JD : We will give it’s props where it’s due... and, yes... props are due to Worthy and Jack Power. That really was a great match, guys.

~JD pauses for a few seconds as more applause comes from the crowd.~

Brandon : Wow... the Thrillers actually giving credit to their opponents from Super Force? Is hell freezing over Reggie?

JD : That being said.... The Natural Born Thrillers have proven.... for yet another time... that we are the premier tag team in XFE. Prior to the Masters of Mayhem, there has been no one who had stepped up to the plate... to get in our faces... to provide a challenge for us... to try to take these belts off of our waists.

Playboy : And we can’t say we blame them. I wouldn’t want to challenge us. But that’s not the point. Everyone gets into this business to be the best. The Natural Born Thrillers did not get to be the best by not trying to be the best... not trying to beat the best. We worked out asses off... we pushed ourselves... we took chances... and we are... the best that there is!

~Playboy and JD pose in the ring as sparklers spray from the ring posts into the ring. A few seconds later, the sparklers stop and JD raises his microphone.~

JD : So anyone... ANYONE... who wants to see how they stack up against the champs. All you gotta do... is sign the dotted line.

Playboy : We will be more than happy to show you your place here... in XFE.

JD : So now... the Thrillers will continue to party-it-up in our luxury box. We'll try to keep the noise down not to disturb your enjoyment of the show.

~Suck My Kiss begins to play once again as the Thrillers drop the microphones in the ring. The Thrillers climb the ring ropes in the corners and raise the belts high to a chorus of cheers.

Reggie : Although well deserved, I still can’t believe this reception they’re getting here in Boston.

~They climb through the ropes and onto the floor and approach one of the camera guys. With no microphones in their hands, Playboy can still be heard slightly as he says to the camera.~

Playboy : We are the (censored)ing best... listen to this!!

~Playboy and JD point to the crowd and the camera turns as the fans are going nuts mugging for the camera. The Thrillers walk up the ramp and up to the stage where they pose one more time with the belts in the air before walking backstage through the curtain.~
