Just Curious

Hey all my fellow XFW compadres, as you know my name is Diamond Troy Justice on here. But, it might not be for long. The good ole' REAL Diamond Troy Justice just got served by the school he works at (mine) for making an independent film on the premises. The movie is a cheap B-quality slasher flick called the Insaniac. A couple parents saw the trailer and are as we speak having Troy crucifeid at his job and possibly ruining his wrestling dreams. I make no judgements on what you might say in this thread, I would just like to see if anyone gets as violently up-in-arms about it as the few parents who casued this mess. Below I have provided the You Tube link to see the trailer for it. Also, there is the link to see the resulting news coverage of this whole mess. Please, if you would like watch them both and give me your thoughts on the matter. Because the title states i'm just curious.

Now I like the Trailer. Makes me want to see the movie. I mean unless you didn't have permission to film it at the school, then you would kind of been in the wrong. But other than that, it's no worse than some of the other films they have out today.

And they really are going after you aren't they? Jeez. I mean, it was the summer right. No one was there. Did you really sell it at the school? I mean, ouch. That's basically just telling them you did something you weren't suppose too. I feel for you man. But without knowing the whole story here, it's hard to say who is in the right. But other than that, the project, the movie it's self is a success.

I'm sorry if I portrayed myself wrong man i'm not DTJ in real life. I was just one of his good friends who got his permission to use his name for this game. but they are really stringing him up, even though he had full permission from the school board to film there in the summer.

Well if he had full permission than he's ok. He shouldn't be blamed if the School Board gave him permission. If they parents don't like it than tough luck. Don't crucify one man for the mistake of one body.

It's completely ridiculous because if you read the comments on the youtube trailer they are comparing it to columbine. It's absolutely crazy, i mean he is suspended without pay until a review is done, people are calling for him the lose his job it's nuts

What the hell!? I don't see what neone is getting upset about. If anything, kids should be getting mad at their parents. The news team don't even watch the clip to find out that its not a school shooting. As it says by multiple people that it was portrayed as a hospital and it was a zombie shooting.... IN A HOSPITAL..... So what if it was in a school though, they portrayed it as a hospital, obviously if they wanted to film it was a school shooting they'd come back in march or something and do it while classes are going on. But no, its done during august, school doesn't start til september 1st most the time. News crew did a terrible job on reporting both sides of the story, and the parents that were complaining i have no doubt are the kids that get babied by their parents. Like honestly.... if a kid watches that and goes "huh, a school shooting... that looks like a good thing to do, i might try that" then the kid was messed to begin with. I think the parents need to calm down and watch the video before they can justify their own reasons. To say its stupid for violence.... well then their against every movie out there excpet some chick flicks and maybe some veggie tales movies. And the best part about it is that it states the money from the movies are going towards the research of MS.... really.... how good would you feel if you found out that you were keeping someone from helping out a charity in the only way the guy knows how.... or one of the only ways. Its like stopping people from giving money and food to starving children because the people that are wanting to give money and food believe in a different culture.... well not exactly but i don't even care cuz now i'm just mad, a little steamed, and i think i should go drink some hot chocolate and cool down. That was my rant, thank you.

more must be added: watching the second part again they fail to mention that its for a good cause, a stupid student (who definetly looks like one of them teacher suck up types, or goody two shoes type) goes and says its offensive.... i fail to see whats offensive. Guarantee if that happened at my school people probably wouldn't care, and the people that would would be the ones as i said, are the ones that htink that the world is a safe place where nothing bad should be shown... cuz lets face it, society right now is built around making people feel good. So a slight thing of being bad and the world goes into mad chaos.... well just parents. The one parent rated it R....... i guarantee that she hasn't seen it. the blood was clearly fake, the knife stab was no where's real, the hospital zmobie slaughter (supposed school shooting) was fake but funny.... the graphic language??? WHERE!?? walk into a hockey dressing room, theirs your freaken graphic language. Kids know what sex and drugs are and the terminolgy for probably everything there is ever taugh in sex ed by the time a kid hits grade 3. There was no nudity, sexual content was a bare minimum... i'd rate it pg13 if anything. Like wow, stupid students and stupid parents should walk a mile in the shoes of others before judging, but thats a whole different topic I could rant about. And i'm done

There are plenty of horror movies with scenes that take place in a school.

This is just evidence of how sensitive our society has become, and how pathetic some people are. I mean... it doesn't even look like a good movie, so it's not like it'll gain widespread fame and make kids try to recreate that part of the movie.

Most of the reaction of the press, and probably most parents, I bet, are as a result of watching the trailer only, where it was not clear that this was a hospital, and it was not clear that those being shot were zombies (I only got that from a previous post here). Maybe it would have been best to leave that out of the trailer without a setup which made that evident. That one particular scene in the trailer could be the only thing that anyone is complaining about... I don't see anything else that could be wrong with this.

but seriously, it doesn't seem like it would cause a school shooting. Take the original prom night for example. They don't "accidentally" push people of the 2-3 story building do they? There have been many worse movies than this, there have been movies on school shootings, and even video games, about Columbine. This seems to be just one of those horror movies where people get stuck in a building, with lots of ammunition for some reason, and have to survive. Horror and Slasher movies are the best movies around, but parents just have to realize that they must know what there kids are doing, and not get them movies that could influence them. So if you reporters are worried about your kids getting ideas, JUST DON'T LET THEM WATCH IT!

Dude that looks like it'd be Awesome!!... >.>; but im a fan of horror films and alot of independent horror's... But i think i'd love to watch it!
